Verkið felst í snjóhreinsun og hálkueyðingu þeirra gatna í Reykjavík sem tilheyra útboði þessu (svæði 3 - 5 á meðfylgjandi yfirlitskorti), innan þess tímabils sem getið er um í kafla 1.18 útboðslýsingar. Seljandi leggur til menn og tæki til verksins og framkvæmir verkið eftir fyrirmælum frá eftirlitsmanni kaupanda og í samræmi við ákvæði og lýsingar í þjónustuhandbók USK. Þjónustuhandbókin telst hluti af verklýsingu þessari og hluti útboðsgagna og skal seljandi kynna sér hana til hlítar. Athygli er vakin á því að snjóhreinsun húsagatna (þjónustuflokk 3) með t.d. traktorsgröfum og hjólaskóflum (vélavinna) er boðin út í sérstöku útboði og því ekki innifalin í þessu útboði.
