- The project involves laying about 15.4km of high-voltage cables in Berufjörður from Kelduskógar to Melshorn and to Eiríksstaðir in Fossárdalur. Installing six substations and laying low-voltage local loops from them. It is expected that fiber optic pipes will be plowed with high-voltage cables. The project also includes laying a 3x50q high-voltage cable at Karlsstaðir for about 0.67km and installing a substation. And laying a 3x95q high-voltage cable at Urðarteigur for about 2.3km and installing a substation. The project is to begin on June 9 and be completed on August 29, 2025.
